Did you Reset the network adapter? Are you in Airplane Mode? Is your Wifi Adapter Driver Up to date? Is there any program like VMware installed on your computer?
Windows 10
provider: COX ( I think :/ )
I don't know what other information you need so just ask and I will try my best to let you know.
Evening. I'm posting this using my uncle's computer, which is using the same router and set up, so I'm more than 95% sure its not the provider and its my computer. My computer refuses to connect to the internet, EVEN THOUGH it is wired DIRECTLY using the ETHERNET cable. I usually use wifi, but for the 2 or 3 weeks my wifi connection has been dropping and reconnecting. The problem continued, sometimes I'd be able to reconnect immediately, other times I wouldn't be able to connect until maybe an hour or so later. Each time I found myself having problems connecting with wifi I would turn off my router and modem to reset them and then I'd reconnect. A couple weeks ago I grew frustrated with my computer not connecting through wifi so I connected it directly using the Ethernet cable. It did not connect. About a half hour later the wifi reconnected and I disconnected the Ethernet and didn't pay any attention to how come the Ethernet cable did not work. The strange thing about the Ethernet cable not working is that my computer realizes and recognizes that the Ethernet cable is connected in and even shows it on the network connections center listing, but it says "no internet" when it shows the Ethernet. The wifi networks USED to say they were "connected" but I still could not open any web pages or any other internet necessary apps. Now the computer also says "not connected" for wifi networks but recognizes that they are present and available. Please help. I've tried going into my device manager and uninstalling network adapter... "drivers" , right? uninstalling whatever those things are and reinstalling by checking for software changes and rebooting my comp. Same problem and no fix. Please help.
