The sharing to Samsungs vary with the model. Some required Samsung's app. Tell a little more such as the full model number so I can check out it's manual.
I have a Netgear N600 model C3700 wifi cable modem router. It is connected to my PC, and HP P7-1587cb PC. I have my Samsung smart TV's (I have 3) connected to my 2.4GHz wireless network and see the SSID, I can connect to the SSID, but when I try to access the music, video, or pictures files on my PC I cannot. I am always returned to the previous screen. I can connect my TV to the internet through my router, so I know that the wireless connection to the router is working. The router is hardwire connected to the PC and its connected to my cable service provider by cable. My problem seems to be and option or something that is preventing my TV from seeing the files on my PC. I have tried everything that I can, but nothing works. I have all the files shared with everyone along with the folders. I am reluctant to change any options on the router for fear of making things worse. Everything worked just fine until 2 weeks ago when I was infected with the hijack virus. My computer and all programs would not work including my Anti-virus. Could not connect to the internet or anything. I had to not only reset the router, but my computer had to be completely redone. I deleted all the old operating system and everything else loaded on the C drive (I lost all my files, downloads, etc). Reinstalled the windows 8.1, and now have everything working correctly again, except for being able to connect to my video files on my PC to stream items there to my TV. Is there anyone that has experience with this type of problem that might have a suggestion on how I can proceed? I've already done the reset/reboot process and cleared cache/history several times. All computer updates are downloaded and updated. Wow, I could sure use some help figuring out this one.
