Using windows software to do this is kind of flimsy. I suggest trying some 3rd party resource it will most likely work. Maybe something like network magic might work.
I am learnin how to run a network on my own and i ran into a snag. When i am in the computer management console trying to connect to another computer i have acess to everything except disk management. I am trying to connect from an xp sp2 machine to my server running 2003 server r2. I have a computer running as network attached storage also running server 2003 r2. I can connect from my server to the nas and from the nas to the server but i cant connect from either server or the nas to the xp machine and i cant connect from the xp machine to either the server or nas. I am running active directory and the domain/admins groug is on every computer containing the administrator account. I am using the domain administrator account while doing this. It doesnt make any sense. If you have a solution to this i will be greatful. I have tried finding something about this on the internet and couldnt find anything useful.
Thank You
