Cannot autologon. Help!

Aug 22, 2004 11:13PM PDT

Every time I click "send/receive" email I have to put in my password. In the account settings, every time I put in my password and check the "remember password" box, the password disappears the next time I check the settings. And each time I put into my password when it asks for it when I "send/receive" mail and check the "remember password" box, it never remembers it and asks me again the next time. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks a lot.

I can get Windows 95/98/ME to do that if I uninstalled the Microsoft Client in the Network Control Panel, but your post didn't mention that.

Lately some forum members have become a little testy when others ask for the missing details, but as your post bears out, sometimes just a few more details is all that's needed.

What is bothersome about your bug is that why would you run into it? My feeling is that Microsoft needs to do a better job so you don't get hit with such arcane problems.
