Cannot access files after reloading windows xp

Jun 11, 2005 12:10AM PDT

I reloaded Windows XP Pro to a new directory on my hard drive so it wouldnt wipe out all the old files under My Documents. Problem is now I cannot access my old files since in the previous installation of Windows I had selected the option to not allow other users on the pc to access my files.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

Did you save or copy

your data before you reloaded XP? If so, you can access the data from the CDs or DVDs you created.

Seems that you would now have two versions

installed. Can't you open the original, and as Administrator change the settings to allow them to be accessed???
