Canary home security is not the security you should have.

I THINK YOU HAVE PROBLEM HERE. Your not telling your clients/purchasers that they can be spied upon by the federal government while their Canary is in use without Canary users knowing about it. This is scary. This is Orwellian. Actually you are an extension of the federal government.
Case in point....MicroSoft is suing the federal government as we speak for just the same thing.
Have you told CNET and other publications about this?

So! If I have your email correct. You can unencrypt the encrypted video file on your servers only if asked to do so by law enforcement with a proper warrant?
Thnx again

Hey William,
It depends on the instructions of the court order. If we are directed by law to hand over basic encrypted files, that is what is delivered. If we are legally ordered to deliver actual unencrypted video files, we must comply with that order.

Thanks Justin, Can law enforcement open those files that are on the server? Or, are those files encrypted so no one can get into them. I’m asking because of the Apple FBI situation.
Thnx Billy

Hi William,
Thanks for getting in touch today to ask your question. We here at Canary take your security seriously, and as such only you have access to your video. If you need to get video to law enforcement, you can download them through the app and send them directly from your phone.
We can give access to files on the server to law enforcement parties only if officially directed by a court order/subpoena.
Best,
Justin B.

Do you have access to my videos that are encrypted and can those encrypted videos be turned over to law enforcement for decrypting?
