Canadian RIAA's scare tactics

Dec 6, 2003 5:48AM PST

The Canadian clone of the Recording Industry Association of America says it's just launched, "a new advertising and education campaign" to "inform parents of what their children might be unwittingly exposed to on illegal internet music sites".

"Anyone who has ever been on a peer-to-peer network is aware that they can contain computer disabling viruses, spyware and access to pornography," says Brian Robertson, president of the CRIA (Canadian Recording Industry Association), going on to promote Puretracks.com which is attempting to sell material produced by the major labels, which also own the CRIA.
