Resolved Question

Can you watch video from a TV channel website?

Dec 29, 2011 7:01AM PST

New to devices like Roku, AppleTV, and blu-ray players. Can you stream a TV show from the channel's website on any of these? Sometimes we miss one episode and it's free on the channel's website. How can we watch that on our TV?
Thanks!

to a video output on the PC.

Now, tell us exactly what type of PC and TV you have and what TV INPUTS are available. Also tell us what types of video out ports are available on the PC. Knowing this we may be able to tell you what you need.

Connect the TV

Hi. I have older equipment. The laptop is Lenovo Thinkpad T61 with a serial port, Ethernet and USB ports. There are a couple of smaller ports that look like small USB ports but not sure what they are. One looks like the connection on my GPS device. We also have a <span style="'color:" rgb(31, 73, 125); font-family: "Calibri","sans-serif"; font-size: 11pt; mso-fareast-font-family: Calibri; mso-fareast-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-ansi-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA;'>Dell E6500. It just has a bunch of USB ports and a serial port. The TV is a Toshiba 34HDX82, Cinema Series HD. It has a DVI/HDCP port as well as S-Video and the Yellow/white/red ports.
Thanks much!
