Can you reinstall Office 12?

Is it possible to install Office 12 and remove and reinstall to anothe rmachine when you updgrade. Wondering about this as I got a FREE copy from MSFt and I plan to upgrade in a few months. Is there a way to deactive it on the original machine and reinstall and activate on a new machine..
