Can you control the direction of Wi-Fi Signal?

by RobberTom / September 9, 2007 11:07 AM PDT

Is there a way to control where the Wifi signal will broadcast? Space is kinda limited in my home, so simply moving the router won't do.

There are sites like in which you build an addon.

But you'll still see a signal in all directions.

Direction of an antenna in a router

I suggest getting a 400mw router. It broadcasts in all directions, but the signal strength will be enough for a 3000 to 4000 square foot home. You do not need an antenna which sends in a single direction. You need a more powerful router. Go to and check out the solutions. Call them or email them and they can help you with this.
