Can you add UV filters to the Canon SX30?

Jan 14, 2011 9:39PM PST

I know that this camera is not a DSLR and you cannot add/ remove lenses, but does it allow for you to screw on UV or other filters?

Thanks so much!

Adapter

Are you sure?

The filters have 67mm threads.

The hood at the bottom of the page is called LHOODLH-DC60, which usually (for Canon) means it has a 60mm thread.

My deduction was that the adapter (called FADTFA-DC67A) is a size adapter to fit between the 67mm lens threads on the camera lens and the hood's 60mm threads.

Canon does not supply any details about the adapter or the sun shield, you should telephone Canon Service and get a clarification.
