Can the Sony CMT BX5BT drive two sets of speakers

by stubob2517 / June 11, 2007 7:42 AM PDT

I am trying to set up a 'put together system' with speakers in two seperate rooms. I have two Bose bookshelf speakers that I need a receiver to drive and want to put another set of speakers in my garage. Would the Sony CMT-BX5BT be acceptable for this? I know absolutely nothing about stereo's, so I thank everyone for their input in advance.

Well usually when a receiver can drive two sets of speakers the specs or manual will say something like "Zone 2" functionality. My Onkyo receiver has Zone 2 capability, but only gives me the option to hook up 2 speakers with RCA (L/R) connection. If it doesn't the product specs or manual don't say anything about Zone 2 then I'd guess it doesn't...but you can always goto to chat online with one of their technical service people.
