Question

Can the page margins be adjusted on 'free' Adobe pdf?

Mar 28, 2019 7:10AM PDT

When using a 'word' document, the page margins can be adjusted. When I printed the NCAA schedule, there was a lot of wasted space. If I could adjust the margins and 'schedule' could be printed out 'larger'. Saw some suggestions on the 'net' but it seemed to apply to the 'pro' version.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

No, that can't be done in any pdf viewer. One of the nice things of a pdf is that it's the same everywhere and can't be changed unless you have a pdf editor.

The best you can do is to use any of the pdf to doc conversion programs or sites found by https://www.google.com/search?q=pdf+to+doc and then edit the result in MS Word (or LibreOffice Writer if you don't have access to MS Word).
But it could be a lot of work to get the result to look as you prefer, although that probably differs between different conversion programs.

Thanks guys, the following worked for me.
1. Open pdf
2. Choose Edit > Take A Snapshot.
3. Drag a rectangle around the area you want to print.
4. Choose File > Print
5. (Optional) To enlarge the selected text or graphic to fit the sheet of paper, choose Fit To Printable Area from the Page Scaling pop-up menu.
While the initial result was good enough, selecting "Fit" enlarged the picture just a little bit more.

Thanks again.

You can't adjust the margins of the Adobe PDF in Adobe PDF viewer, but you can do it by taking a snapshot of the page and by adjusting the rectangle after which you can use ctrl+print for saving it in the desired margin.
Hope this will help you out.
