Can't watch on line movie

Nov 23, 2004 6:53PM PST

I downloaded the latest version of Windows Media Player WMP10.0 recently. but each time when i use it to watch on line movie it end up with these words "Windows Media Player cannot play the file because a network error occurred. The server might not be available. Verify that you are connected to the network and that your proxy settings are correct."

But i fact i have not that kind of problem it mentioned. thx for any advice
I didn't experience this with WMP9.0
Can anybody help?

Kamgoal,

Whenever posting questions on these forums, please give us as much information as possible about your computer. Depending on your issue, we might need the operating system, processor speed, amount of RAM installed, brand name of the computer, (if there is one), and any EXACT error messages you are receiving, and any other information you think might be helpful. The more information you give us, the better informed our answer will be.

In your case, what type of internet connection do you have?

Does this happen with ALL streaming videos?

Are you using a firewall and if so, have you tried disabling it? Tried allowing Media Player access through the firewall?

Hope this helps and let us know more.

Kamgoal,

A search of Google comes up with quite a few folks who have the same problem. Here's a link to that search:

Google Search for "Error ID = 0xC00D11B3"

Here's another good link provided by Microsoft's WMP Troubleshooting Page:
How do I stop the Player from acting as if I'm always offline (or returning error codes 0xCOOD1126 or 0xC00D11B3)?

It appears to be a connection issue...a possible router/firewall/proxy issue maybe. Confirm that these aren't causing the problem with the specific server that is sending the data to your computer.

Hope this helps.
