Can't Vote Anymore

by jibberyerkibber / April 15, 2013 10:06 PM PDT

Now when I try to take an online poll in Firefox, whenever I click a choice and then hover my cursor over VOTE NOW, a message come up that says JAVASCRIPT: VOID (0). Clicking VOTE NOW does nothing. If I use IE, when I simply go to the site that has the poll, a message comes up that says IE has encountered a problem and needs to close. My SETTINGS in Firefox say that java-script is ENABLED. Running Windows XP pro. Reboot doesn't help. Site I am trying to vote on is Oh what to do? Thanks!

The "JAVASCRIPT: VOID (0)" Is Correct For That Site

When I visit the website you listed, then scroll to the lower right portion of that page, there is a "Vote Now" button.. Hovering over the button shows the "" listing for me as well. IF I then select a player to vote for, then click on the "Vote Now" button, it works and a vote ranking screen appears.. So, here, the "Vote Now" button works in both Firefox 20.0.1 and IE 8.

I do notice that clicking on the "Vote Now" button causes a popup window to attempt to load.. If you've got a popup blocker enabled on those browsers, it could be causing your issue.

Just a thought.. Have you uninstalled Java from your computer? Although "javascript" and "java" are two different things, sometimes the button type you've shown will open a java applet..

Hope this helps.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
