Can't view fotos w/o PCDLIB.DLL ...HELP!

Jul 24, 2007 4:04AM PDT

First I use Windows 98SE, browser Firefox and Yahoo. I'm having problems with downloading and viewing all photos because I did some spring (system)cleaning and inadvertently deleted this file. Now the only way it appears I can find the file is using shady registry scanners, which "promise" to replace missing .dll files. Uh huh. Is there a way to acquire and reinstall the PCDLIB.DLL file Window's needs to run my photo viewer? Any and all assistance is appreciated.

That isn't part of Windows 98, as far as I can see. It's Kodak software (Photo CD, I think).

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/140692 notes it came with Scenes 2.0. Does that ring a bell? Or maybe other software you installed? I read it came with Corel Draw also.

If you don't know where you got it from (so you can reinstall the application), all you can do is download it from a reasonably trusted site like:
http://www.5starsupport.com/info/dll.htm
http://www.tedfelix.com/SupaSoft/PCDLib.html
http://www.dynamiclink.nl/htmfiles/rframes/info_dll/info_p/185.htm

Put it in \windows\system and see what happens next.

Hope this helps.

Still can't view foto downloads

Thank you for the leads gor pcdlib.dll. Now the system needs (or says it needs JSPIN.DLL to work with Windows. I recently attempted to reload my OS (Windows 98SE), and the system detected a corrupt .cab that disabled and stopped the installation (via cd). I've attempted to engage psp.exe which is a graphics program I believed may have had the .dlls necessary but I such a rookie at this. Needles to say it wouldn't work, because it also needed jspin.dll for Windows to work. Any thoughts, suggestions?
