can't upgrade from 1.0 to 1.4 using xp

i installed version 1.0 from the CD, recently i tried to install version 1.4. so i when to add/remove and uninstalled 1.0, when i clicked on setup.exe version 1.4 it told me that the product was already installed and i needed to remove it using add/remove.

Obviously i had already done this and i also manually looked in the registry of pc share entries and deleted them.

no what what i try doing i can't seem to upgrade to 1.4 after uninstalling 1.0.

also when the message comes up that alnother verison of the product is installed i has what it looks like a registry key 2A2E822B-... but i cant find that. what show i do?

Have you looked in....

C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data for any files that might have been left behind?

C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Start Menu is another place to look.
