Can't Switch On Laptop

by wrytat / November 9, 2007 8:51 AM PST

My colleague's laptop is down. He was reading email yesterday, and the laptop suddenly power off, but the power light is still on. And when he tried to switch on the laptop again, the laptop won't react. He had to wait for a few hours later, then he could switch it on again. And after a while, the power will go off again.

Does anyone know what happened? What can we do? Otherwise if we want to restore the data from the hard disk, how can we do it?
