Almost all PCs show a screen prior to Windows booting up. Troubleshooting means checking the video cable from PC to display, tapping the reset button and seeing if the bios or such screen shows.

My son thinks he clicked the Lock button on Vista (Next to the Start) then he manually turned off the computer.
When I turn on the computer, the monitor immediately goes into a power saving mode and I can't get a screen or anything.
Any ideas?
