can't send text imessages on iphone 4

I have an iphone 4. I can't send text messages in imessage. When I do it comes from my email instead. When I receive them they come to my email. I have gone into settings-messages-send & receive-and it is all fine.

Given all the reasons for this, I think you need to head to your carrier's support counter or an Apple store.

If that doesn't work, I suggest performing a 'reset all network settings' attempt. After that, if the carrier can't help, do a factory reset of the device. Re-read the entire Apple instructions on how to set up messaging too(!)
