Can't send page or link by email from IE7 using Outlook '07

Using Windows XP with IE7 and (previously Outlook 2003). Never had problem. Click Page>Send link or page by email and pop up email window appeared and would transmit. With Outlook 2007 installed, I click on send link or page by email and nothing happens. No error message, no pop up window, nothing.

I can send and receive emails directly from Outlook 2007 with no problems. In IE7, under Tools>Options>Programs, the email program is set for Microsoft Office Outlook so I can't figure out the problem. Any suggestions?

..also have to make Outlook 2007 the default e-mail client. Chosing it as the e-mail program at IE7 may not be enough.

Try this.

On the Tools menu, click "Options", and then click the "Other" tab.
Under General, check the "Make Outlook the default program for E-mail, Contacts, and Calendar check" box.

This is for Outlook 2002, which should be the same for Outlook 2007.

Turns out..

the problem was that some components of Outlook Express got deleted when I uninstalled Outlook 2003 (prior to Outlook 2007 installation)and that was causing the problem. I had to reinstall Outlook Express via Win XP Service Pack 2 and that solved the IE7 - Outlook 2007 problem.
