Hi,
I have a workstation here with Microsoft outlook 2000. Everything works fine except one small thing. Everytime i try to send an email with an attachment i get an error. Unable to contact smtp server. A timeout error. I can send or receive regular email. I can also receive an email with an attachment but i can't send one.
Do you have any idea on how to solve this problem ?

It's a 54kb jpeg file, I also tried with word document, the same thing.

You'll have to ask your ISP if they have an issue. Some just block attachments in an effort to block email worms.

I already explained them and the only answer they gave me is to check the MTU of my router... but that's all they told me... Otherwise, they had no explanation. I starting to be desperate with Outlook 2000 and 2003

Since all other internet operations work then it's very likely nto the router. Nothing in your post gives any firm clues. Some install firewalls, Norton and more but forget what effects these have.
