Just to clarify, the older pc has XP Professional SP2 and the newer one has XP Home SP3.
I have two pc's with XP installed.
One has SP2 with Media Player9. The other has SP3 with MP10.
I have a problem when I connect my Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 via USB.
On the older SP2/MP9 My Computer shows -
GT-N8013 - Tablet - Card (Type - Portable Media Player)
Clicking on that shows -
Card (Type - Generic hierarchical)
Tablet (Type - Generic hierarchical)
Clicking on, say, "Tablet" list all the folders on the memory card and clicking on the the folders shows the files in those folders just as you would normally see them.
OTOH, doing the same thing on the newer SP3/MP10 pc is different.
My Computer shows -
SAMSUNG Android - Card (Type - Portable Media Device)
SAMSUNG Android - Tablet (Type - Portable Media Device)
Clicking on "SAMSUNG Android - Tablet" shows two folders -
Data (Type - File Folder)
Media (Type - File Folder)
Clicking on "Media" shows a list with the same names as the folders that clicking on "Tablet" did on the other pc but they are all shown as Type - File with 0KB size and not folders.
(The "Data" folder contains nothing).
All I want to do is access the tablet like a storage device like I can on the older pc.
What do I need to change to make it do that?
