Can't run flv player download

When I download it, it saves as a text file. I'm running Mac OS X, which gives me only the option to save as Document or All Files. Even when I choose All Files, it saves as text, so when I open the .exe file, nothing runs.

I've tried saving it to Downloads and Desktop.

I downloaded it from cnet and another source.

I know widows uses .exe file, but does the Mac do that?

Just wondering. Maybe you need a Mac version of flv.

Yeah, on cnet's download page it said it was ok for Mac OS X. Thanks.

And I just tried downloading from apple.com but got an error message there too.
