Can't read images on cd from sony mavica

Mar 25, 2005 12:41PM PST

My dad borrowed his boss's sony mavica digital camera for a trip. This camera uses Roxio easy cd creator 4 to burn images. When he was using it, easy cd creator didn't close out any of the cd's he images were burned to. Neither of us has this app. So at this point we can't even see the images on any of the mini cd's. How can we see these images? Is there a site somewhere to download a trial of easy cd creator 4? We need help.

the pictures to the hard drive? Does this camera use a mini-CD as a "memory card"? You didn't list the model number so it is hard to problem solve. If you can provide additional information it will help us help you.

Very confusing.

The camera does NOT use Roxio easy cd creator. It has it's own way. You may have meant that Roxio software came with the camera for use with the camera on the PC, but Roxio software is not on the camera.

While that seems to not matter, here is some free software that I've used to close such a session or look a such a CD.

1. ISOBUSTER
2. CDBurnerXP

The camera uses no software, it burns to the CDR or CDRW disk. To view images you must finalize the CD prior to removing it from the camera. I have a Mavica CD500 camera.

After finalizing, the pictures can be viewed with Microsoft software as the pictures are in .jpg format. No special software is needed. Anything that will view .jpg files will work.

Now.

If you want to move these pictures to a full size CD you will need some burning software. But they must be downloaded to the PC hard drive first, then follow the procedure for the burning software to put them on a full size CD.

Good luck,
