In short, more RAM will not fix this. Here's why. The DOS based Windows have finite memory pools called RESOURCES. If you want to know all about this area, the Memory Articles at http://www.aumha.org/articles.htm explains it in depth.
I see a few exits.
1. Print just that one page.
2. Consider deleting the NORMAL.DOT and then running Word and trying item #1 again.
3. Go get Open Office from http://www.openoffice.org (zero cost here) and try printing the errant page or maybe the entire document.
4. Try to print from a non-DOS based Windows machine. Such as Windows NT, 2000, XP or 2003.
Best of luck,
Bob
I have Windows 98 and I am trying to print a Word 97 document containing a JPEG image (the image is about 3MB). I get the error message "There is insufficient memory or disk space. Word cannot display the requested font." I've tried linking to the image and it doesn't help. My printer driver is up to date. (HP Deskjet 895cxi). I believe this is a well-known problem but I'm stuck. Would upgrading to Windows XP solve it? Or getting more RAM? I have plenty of spare disk space but only 128MB RAM.
