The common cure: replace the drive. They fail occasionally.

Replce the Drive or Driver.Either way I'm no expert is it easy to do ?
If I can still run DVD-R's etc is it the Drive ?

While I could suggest a CD/DVD lens cleaner it can cost as much as a new drive. As to replacing the drive that's done by thousands out there so research HOW TO REPLACE A DVDRW DRIVE on google to see if that's what you think you can do.

Then off to, to order up your drive and get it done.

Good luck!

PS. I doubt its the drivers. So much doubt that if you ask me how to replace, install drivers I will not answer that.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
