Can't open hyperlinks in Outlook

I'm using windows 7 on a new Acer laptop. When trying to open hyperlinks in emails, I get an error message that administrator setting on this computer will not allow the action? I'm the administrator and never set anything differently from any other machine using outlook so...what's the deal? I've tried to change setting in both outlook and on the computer administrator setting but....no luck. Any suggestions.
