CAN'T OPEN CD-ROM DRIVE & IT DOESN'T SHOW IN MY COMPUTER

Hi All ~ I've had this problem before and wrote myself a note how to fix it but left out a little detail ... I can't seem to remember how to get to SYSTEM RESOURCES where I can check HARDWARE. I've exhausted my searching and look to more knowledgeable folks like yourselves. Thanks for your help ... Ann

If Win XP go to control panel, system, then hardware, then device manager, there you will find the list. If Vista Device manager is in control panel.

RE: CD-ROM WON'T OPEN

In reply to: Hardware

Thanks, Phil ... that's exactly what I finally figured to do. I'm still puzzled why it happens to begin with but as long as I can fix it, I won't worry about it. Sorry I forgot to mention Win XP ... I don't post much. Ann
