your system is crashing when loading. easiest thing to do is to boot your Windows XP install disk, reinstall XP, and then rerun Windows Update to pick up all the updates that have been removed. you won't lose anything this way.
I have Windows XP as my primary operating system. There is an option during load up to choose windows '98, which I almost never use, but still have access to.
A few days ago I ran the latest version of Spybot to clean my system. After running and installing the updates it asks you to restart your computer to initialize the clean up. I did this and now I can't log into Windows XP anymore.
It lets me put in my user name and password and starts to load up, then a box pops up saying "loging out of Windows XP" or something to that affect. Basically when I try and log in, it automatically logs me out.
Can you expalain what is going on or how to fix the problem. Do you know which registry key will allow you to skip logging into the system?
