Can't login

I have a Windows XP computer with a wireless keyboard and mouse. When I startup my computer it begins fine until it reaches the screen with the loading bar about halfway across the bar it freezes. I can't login and my keyboard doesn't work. I tried pressing F8 but it doesn't work. How do you fix this problem.

I'd start with finding a wired keyboard and mouse (with a PS/2 connection if possible) and see if it works then. It might enable you to correct the error if that's in the wireless configuration or software or hardware.
