I read your post and you seem to think that drivers might be optional. The problem many IT staff struggle with is deploying a working set of drivers where needed. I can't tell if you figured this out or not.
The word ADMIN came up and that's another tripping block for some new IT staffers. They'll try it on reduced capability user accounts.
No mention of the connection on that admin computer so I'm left to guess that it was something else than ethernet.
The details are missing so I'm left to GUESS you don't know the IP address of the printer to use when it's on your network.
Recently my company bought a new Phaser 7760 and since then I have difficulties installing it. At first I thought that printer drivers were outdated so I downloaded them from Australian Fuji Xerox website (http://www.fujixerox.com.au). After I installed drivers printer started working fine on the main computer, but it doesn't work on others. I suppose that drivers are fine (since I managed it to work on the admin computer), so there is probably me where improvements are needed.
I checked the network it works fine, I can access folders and documents on other computers. What am I missing?
