Can't install MS Security Update KB926122

Jul 27, 2007 1:27AM PDT

My computer runs Windows 2000. I regularly do Windows Updates, etc. The most recent download was a security fix, KB926122. It cannot install and I get the Error Code 0x80070005. I went to the Microsoft website for answers and the only article they have is for XP (I tried the fix and it's different). Everything still works but I'd like to solve the problem. Any ideas?

Microsoft on this update, you will find that it applies only to Windows 2000 and 2003 Servers. Since you probably have Windows 2000 Professional, not one of the server releases, it does not apply and will not load.

Hope this helps

That makes sense. So, why does it tell me it's an available update...that's OK I'm just venting! Thanks again. I'll forget about it.
