Just use the Windows one. Honestly, from a security standpoint, NONE of the other firewalls offer anything truly compelling. The Windows firewall is good enough for probably more than 99% of all Windows users. It'll keep the automated probes at bay, which is all you need, because if a real honest to god hacker ever wanted to get into your system, no software firewall is going to stop them.
Alternatively, you can get yourself a router with a firewall built into the firmware and use that.
I had Norton 360. It expired so I uninstalled it with a Norton removal tool. Now ANY firewall I try to install crashes my computer. I tried, Nod32, Kaspersky, Comodo. With Nod32 the firewall would not work (it was the security suite) . The Kaspersky security suite crashed my computer in the middle of installation. I then installed Avast, then I tried Comodo. Avast works fine. But when I installed Comodo, I got the blue screen. It kept rebooting, and crashing. In safe mode I did system restore to before Comodo, and I turned on Windows Firewall.
What can I do to fix this problem?
