Can't import my contacts to Mozilla Thunderbird

I can't import my windows contacts to Thunderbird. I have windows 7. I've googled it and everything, but I can't get it figured out. I was able to convert them to vcard but that still doesn't work. Any help would be appreciated.

Can you give more details?

What were you using before Windows 7 and what Contacts/Address Book were you using with that?

if you were using Thunderbird before, then it may be easier to Export the Address Book in LDIF format, copy that file across to the new computer, then import that file.
