Question

Can't Import /Load Product File to my website

Hi,

I have an online store & I have a file that contains the products, pricing & descriptions for the products I need to load onto my website. I have to Import the file thru my Admin site using the Import feature. I have created 16 different files and either I get symbols & characters that don't make sense or error messages.
The symbols & characters come when the file is saved in the Excel format & Imported. The error messages come when the file is saved as a Text file (Tab Delimited). The 1st error message was: No category id supplied for row 3, 4, 5 etc. I was told I needed to create a category id field with the numbers for the categories the products belong to. I did that & now I get the error message: Error no Item Name supplied for row 3,4,5 etc. However the file does contain a Item Name field for each product so I don't know the reason for the message. The ecommerce program/software I am using is called CartKeeper.

I would appreciate it if someone could help me. I really need to get the products loaded to my website.

Thanks

I wish I had a better answer but it's not something I use or anyone at the office. So rather than leave you with no answer, "an answer." The 90 day support was rare to see today.
