Can't get wifi on my iTouch

I'm still a newbie to Apple products. I just bought a 3rd gen. iTouch, & am not sure if I need to set something up to receive wifi on it.

Whenever I try, even very close to a wifi router, I see some "Invalid argument" message. (I saw it when trying to get it at Starbucks & other places that weren't locked)

What to do?

required to set up an iPod Touch to receive wireless.

As long as you have wireless turned on, on the iPod, it should received incoming signals and join networks easily.

You could try using iTunes to reset the device to Factory Defaults and try again
