Can't get out of safe mode

recently installed windows update, lost internet and then was put into safe mode, tried msconfig, system restore still unable to get out of safe mode, need help please!

such as your OS, service pack level, and something about your hardware. Also, mention the Windows update if you know what it was. Mostly I've seen this is a hardware/driver issue and Windows cannot load something. It can be a trial and error process until the culprit is found. Provide a few more details if you can.

Toshiba Satellite A215-S7416 OS-Vista Home Basic, the update was for Network adapter, update was for Realtek RTL8101E Family PCI-E FastEthernet NIC (NDSI6.0) or Realtek RTL8187B Wireless 802.11b/g 54Mbps USB 2.0 Network Adapter, needless to say I've also lost the internet, and stuck in safe mode,can you please help!

Tried system restore and driver rollback nothing, even tried the system restore disk that came with the computer, nothing again it only installed Toshiba software, would not install vista because it is in safe mode

The system restore disk doesn't run in the safe mode of your own Vista OS. It should be a bootable DVD that contains its own OS. That must be the case, because it can be used to install the OS on a new empty disk. So it has to be totally independent of whatever is on that disk.

So you're doing something wrong, I'm afraid.

That's very very strange. I saw no posts that we wanted to install Vista.

Here's another trick I use in such situations. I'll head to the device manager to remove the driver for the device that I suspect is not letting me boot normally. Later I can boot normally and then get the driver from the maker. In this case TOSHIBA.

I am depending on your assessment it was that driver.
