Thanks Kees. You are right - I do get on the Internet, and the JavaScript error messages pop up on every page I try to open once on line, using Netscape Communicator as my default browser. When I load Internet Explorer, Netscape keeps butting in. How do I temporarily disengage the default assignment to Netscape, so I can prevent Netscape from butting in when I'm trying to use Internet Explorer?

Uninstall Netscape?

It's old and more or less replaced by Mozilla (or Mozilla Firefox if you want a browser only without e-mail).
