Question

can't get my contacts to import to windows live

Jan 18, 2013 4:45AM PST

I had windows live set up and working fine. It came on my computer a couple years ago. Then I recently downloaded the latest windows essentials and all my contacts and emails I had imported from the old outlook express disappeared. I was able to import the emails but not the contacts which I have on my desktop in a .csv file. When I click on contacts in this new program, I don't get any options to import. Anybody else having this problem with the latest windows essentials live mail?

may have a corrupted live mail program

I have read everything I can find about importing .csv files into my windows live mail. I think I may have a problem with the program. When I click on contacts in the lower left corner below mail- calendar- contacts, I do not get any ribbon of options. I get nothing! Aren't you supposed to get some options when you click on "contacts" like import, export, etc? Should I reinstall windows live mail and if so, how do I go about that? Do I just download and run live essentials again, or do I have to uninstall everything live essentials puts on the computer when you run it?
Thanks a lot

For the past few years I've only encountered issues with this program (and others in the Live group) so we install Thunderbird and wonder how folk get by with Live's support and issues.
