Can't get msn to go on line

Mar 4, 2004 11:12PM PST

I have Windows XP and MSN will not boot to online status. Every other program that I have will go on line for me, Yahoo, Road Runner. I can get Internet Explorer, but MSN will not allow me to receive e-mails or updates.

If uninstall and reinstall of MSN software doesn't cure it, then it's time to call their tech support. MSN doesn't publish or share their support knowledge base so such things are much like AOL.

You get to call them.

The last time I called MSN tech. I reached a rep in India. She was very nice and polite but I couldn't understand a word she said. I had to figure it out on my own .... welllll actually you gave me a little help. So thanks.

Larry,

Have you considered using "System Restore" to a date before this happened? Also you could try System File Checker (SFC) to see if some system file has become damaged or corrupt. Type "sfc /scannow" without the quotes and a space after sfc. Have your XP disk handy.
