and ask them for the proper channel designations.
I have a newer RCA television and when I got digital cable the cable guy came out and hooked up my VCR and DVD player to the TV and the cable box and everything worked fine. I was able to see digital channels up to 700 without any problem on my TV. My VCR was old and would not go above channel 99 so I recently bought a new JVC DVD/VCR combo. I tried to hook it up but cannot see the digital channels. Even the regular channels don't show up normally. I get odd numbers when I scroll through the channels like 132-1 etc. When I try to get one of the higher number channels I get a message that says "No Signal" and it shows up as CADTV. I've tried going to 132-2, 132-3, etc. but nothing. I also just bought a brand new small TV for my daughter's bedroom and hooked it up to the cable outlet in her room, no cable box in her room, and the TV won't go to the higher digital channels either. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
