can't find file

Windows XP PRO SP2, AMD 2000 desktop. When I click on start-my documents, I get the message " can't find file ///C:/get._ad.php?cc=us&sp=76001621". Documents will open, but ahytime I switch between files the message reappears. Any help? Thanks

Sounds like either a Google application called Web History. Or it may be ad/spyware. Or both. If either appear to be in Ad/Remove Programs, remove it.

I suggest running anti-spyware and anti-virus. If either are found, be sure they are removed, then delete system backups such as System restore.
