Can't find card readers on "My Computer"

Hi all,

Using XP desktop.

When I open "My Computer" there are no longer icons for the e, f, g, h, (etc.) readers. There used to be. I wonder if I've accidentally done something to reconfigure the folder or to disable the ports. When I plug in my camera card to the reader, it used to automatically open the Card file (Plug'n'Play). But it's not even doing that any more.

Help!!

Thanks,
Michael

Check to see if they are in "Device Manager" under

"Disk drives" and also under "Storage Volumes" assuming you are running XP. If they show up there, then they are still installed. If not, then check to see if your USB ports are working, as they are controlled from the USB bus.
