The usual complaint is the XP's Disk Cleanup will appear to hang as it calculates how much space will be saved by compressing files. Since I don't use that feature, here's how I turned that off -> http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;812248&Product=winxp
After that, the process takes less than a minute.
Every time I try to run a Disk Cleanup, my system hangs. I've tried every way I can think of to get at the files, even opened the Temporary Internet File in Documents and Settings and tried to delete individual files, but it won't do a thing.
Any ideas what might be causing this? I'm running Windows XP.
