can't download flash player 8

Hello everyone: I would like to ask for some help. I've been trying for weeks to download Flashplayer 8. It just doesn't happen. There are no error messages. I've tried modifying all the options and making sure Adobe and Macromedia are among my "trusted sites" for both Security and Privacy. But that hasn't helped. My OS is WinXP. I do have a number of other players on my HD . . . could that make a difference? Adobe/macromedia do NOT provide any help.

visit a friend (or school, work, family), download it there, copy it to a USB-stick and install from there.

Everyone is having problems with flashplayer. Is it in your add/remove? If it is remove it, try to download it again. It may take more than a few minutes to download. When it is installed it will tell you that it was successfully installed. Re-check your add/remove to see if it installed. I have to do this every 2-3 days. Adobe also has an update for flash 8 on their download dropdown box. Hope this helps!
