Question

Can't display 4k with new pc

Jan 3, 2015 6:16AM PST

I recently built a new high end pc and when done I hooked it up to my Samsung 65 8550 4k tv but I get no signal message. I tried 1.4 and 2.0 cables. Tried even to simultaneously hook it up with my Sony xbr6 1080 p but I can't view it by itself. I attached it to hdmi 2 which is labeled as pc. I have another pc hooked to it and it displays properly but only at 1080.below are my specs...
4790k
Asus hero 7
2x8gb 2133 ram
2x gtx 970 sc @ sli
Samsung evo 1tb X2 ssd
Corsair 1200axi

I am guessing because the graphic card supports 4k so anything that go through there would be supported? But is that what it really mean (I have no idea). Have you try sending 4k contents through there? Does it work and can you watch it on the computer at 4k? I am just curious.
