Can't delete some Word 2003 Add-ins

I am using Word 2003 on Windows XP Home SP2. Does anyone know why can't I delete some add-ins from Word 2003? Examples:;; I can uncheck these under "Templates and Add-ins" but I cannot remove. Later, they become checked again without help.

Can't delete from MS Word 2007 Add-ins

In reply to: Can't delete some Word 2003 Add-ins

Everytime I open MS Word, I get an error message that cannot be found (there is no such file in the templates folder) and I can't open any word file until closing out these messages. It is very annoying and short of uninstalling and reinstalling word, there must be a way to remove the reference to this template. Any tips would be appreciated.

Try Using The Old MS Work Fix..

In reply to: Can't delete from MS Word 2007 Add-ins

Do a search on the computer for files named: and normal.dotm which is the main Word template....Yes, that's "normal dot dot" and "normal dot dot m".. When the files come up in the Search window ( may not be on a Word 2007 machine), delete all found.. Now restart the computer and open Word again.. A new, clean "" file will be created, hopefully without the specialized option to ask for "".

By the way, that particular add-in hasn't been supported since 2005 so I'm not sure how it might be asking for such.. Unless the computer is an old one and you upgraded from a previous version of MS Office.

Hope this helps.
