Can't delete Internet Explorer 7

Aug 12, 2007 7:51AM PDT

I brought up Add/Remove programs and tried to remove IE7 that way. It started and then I got this message: Setup cannot copy the file iesupp.chm
Ensure that the location specified below is correct or change it and insert "Windows NP Service Pack Uninstall Diretory" in the drive you specify.
Copy Files from:
C:\Windoes/ie7
I don't have the foggiest idea what they're talking about. Can someone give me a suggestion please. Thanks.
Dell Dimension E 520
Win XP Professional (I thought I had XP home edition)
Physical memory 1024 MB

Did IE7 come pre-installed or did you install it?

Do you have IE6?

I believe if IE7 came already installed that you can't delete.

I believe that IE6 came on the pc but then I downloaded IE7 myself. I've tried everything and finally tried the System Restore and that did it. If I lost a few things in the process it was worth it. Thanks so much for your reply.

Well, DUH! maybe if I had typed in exactly what it said...appwiz.cpl...it might have worked. Anyway it's gone now and that's all I care. Sorry if I lead anyone astray.
