Go see that Gateway.

Given only these two I will not note any other similar models.

The Gateway gets the nod here for the 549.99 price, the 4500MHD graphics runs more games that you may expect and for me the 14 inch screen is just too small for me so I'm back to the Gateway.

Be sure to test drive one. You can't buy on spec for keyboard feel and LCD viewing qualities.

Thanks for your reply Bob. How are Asus and Gateway as laptop manufacturers? Can you recommend me a better laptop than the ones I listed for under $600? Thanks

Please try the top post in this forum which has laptop pickers. As to the names, they make laptops. In the "names" laptops are thankfully almost fungible.
